In the 19th century, people announced their big news by sending telegrams, but these days, we can’t imagine a world without Twitter, MSN and Facebook. One thing is certain: we will never stop communicating via our clothes. This is why BATE PAPO is introducing a new line of clothing where communication is the central theme. The ways we once used to communicate are incorporated into great designs. Hip T-shirts, printed with an image of an answerphone, or messages such as ‘nice to meet you’, this is BATE PAPO. The superior quality T-shirts are available at affordable prices (T-shirts for men are €34.95 and €24.95 for women). “People will also like BATE PAPO because it is a very broad concept, one which everyone can relate to,” according to Justin Hendrik, one of the founders of BATE PAPO. “We all communicate 24 hours a day, whether we're aware of it or not. It’s fun to express this through your clothes.” The BATE PAPO brand name did not just fall from the sky. It means ‘informal conversation’ in Portuguese. “While brainstorming, we came up with the topic of communication,” Hendrik explains. “It’s actually amazing how quickly this has developed over the last couple of years. On the basis of this concept, we went in search of a name. Via the Internet, we wound up at an unbelievably huge Brazilian community. BATE PAPO. This fit our idea perfectly. Later on we added the slogan SERIOUS SMALLTALK”. The clothing is now also for sale via the website www.batepapobrand.com.
